Our School's Story

A School Through The Generations

Logan High School has been part of the Logan Community for more than a century. Established in 1911, the school has educated generations of students while its classrooms, buildings, and traditions have changed with the community around it. Through thise generations, the Wildcats have remained an enduring part of Logan's history.

Through The Years

1911- Logan High School Begins

Logan High School was organized in 1911, beginning more than a century of public high school education in the Logan community. 

1923- A New Logan High School

A new Logan High School building opened on East Stratton Street during the 1923-24 school year. 

This era also marked the beginning of the Guyana, Logan High School's yearbook, with volume I published in 1923. 

1957- A New Campus

After more than three decades on East Stratton Street, Logan High School moved into its current campus in 1957. 

1962- Logan High and Aracoma High Unite

With the end of segregation, students from Aracoma High School joined Logan High School in 1962, bringing together two important parts of Logan's educational history.
